Organetto Fascination

A solo program to discover the portative organ and fall in love with its charms and malleable sounds. A journey through a bunch of emotions among which peace, sensuality and fun.

The portative organ is an instrument that was very popular between the 13th and 15th century. A small organ that the player plays with one hand on the bellows and the other on the keyboard. Although many people think of it as a keyboard instrument, the essence of its sound is that of a wind instrument. By operating the bellows, the air pressure can be controlled in infinitely expressive and dynamic ways.

Cristina gives the organetto a rhetorical value, making music without words a message full of content: spiritual, loving and fun.

During the performance, a little is told about the essence and history of the orgnanetto.
