Polyphony of the Montpellier Codex
The course will focus on the polyphonic motets of the Montpellier codex (13th-14h c.) and it is directed to singers and portative organ performers (beginners also!).
We will work on a group of Latin and French motets of the Manuscript and perform them in ensemble with voices and organs.
There will be portative organs to rent for those who don’t have one.
Other instruments might participate as well, contact me or the organisation (email@example.com) for more information.
It will take place at the university of Montpellier (south France) on the 1st and 2nd December.
There will be a visit to the Library of the Faculté de Medicine of Montpellier to see this famous codex in situ (December 3rd).
